"Cardiff Sunset"
This piece was created after trying to replicate our beautiful fall sunsets. That time of the year when things finally warm up and all the tourists have packed up and have gone home. It's that time we call, "locals' summer". "Cardiff Sunset" embodies all of that beauty using acrylic paint and texture paste on canvas.

Bio
<p>Angela Jackson is an award-winning, mixed media artist and art educator who has exhibited in many group and solo shows throughout the United States and abroad. Her artworks are held in private collections, both nationally and internationally. She is inspired by the beauty and therapeutic aspects of the ocean, which are expressed in her paintings.</p>
<p>Originally from Pennsylvania, Angela grew up two blocks from the Susquehanna River and she has felt the need to live close in proximity to water ever since. Her understanding of our attraction to bodies of water was reinforced reading Dr. Wallace J. Nichols’ book, Blue Mind, in which he discusses the neuroscience behind our connection to all things water. Now living in Cardiff, she enjoys daily walks on the beach and absorbing all the sights, sounds and smells of the Pacific Ocean.<br>Angela creates art out of her studio in Cardiff, CA and teaches Visual Art at San Dieguito Academy in Encinitas, CA. </p>
