Blue Heron Horizon

Created for the 2022 San Diego Surf Festival, this painted surfboard is part of a series of 5 representing the SoCal coastal counties from San Diego to Santa Barbara. I was selected to represent Ventura County. I was inspired by the open natural landscapes where I encountered many species of wildlife. I chose to depict the Great Blue Heron flying along the horizon where the Channel Islands can be seen. Acrylic on Fiberglass
